# Earning View Points

> How viewers earn rewards on ViewFT.

# Earning View Points as a Viewer

You don't need to be a creator to earn on ViewFT. Viewers are essential to the ecosystem — they curate, moderate, and distribute quality content.

## How to Earn

| Read & engage         | 1 pt   | Meaningful reading time (not just scrolling past)      |
| Share quality content | 2 pts  | Sharing content that others then engage with           |
| Accurate flag         | 5 pts  | Flagging content that is later confirmed misleading    |
| Quality comment       | 2 pts  | Comments that receive upvotes from the community       |
| Successful referral   | 10 pts | Referring a new user who becomes an active contributor |
| Governance vote       | 1 pt   | Participating in community votes on disputed content   |

## Curation Rewards

When you share content and that content later receives positive engagement, you earn a curation bonus. This rewards viewers who are early identifiers of quality content — essentially, you're being rewarded for editorial judgment.

## Points → \$VIEW Conversion

During Phase I, all rewards accumulate as View Points. At the future Token Generation Event (TGE), points convert to \$VIEW tokens. The conversion ratio will be announced before the event. Early participants accumulate more points with less competition.

## What a Typical Day Looks Like

Here's how an active viewer might earn View Points in a single day:

| 12:30 PM        | Leave a thoughtful comment on a breaking story | 2 pts      |
| 6:00 PM         | Vote on a disputed content case                | 1 pt       |
| **Daily total** |                                                | **13 pts** |

Over a month, that's \~390 points — putting you well on track for meaningful \$VIEW token allocation at TGE.

## Leaderboard

ViewFT maintains a weekly leaderboard showing top earners across three categories:

* **Top Curators** — viewers who share content that gets the most engagement
* **Top Moderators** — viewers with the highest confirmed flag accuracy
* **Top Commenters** — viewers whose comments receive the most upvotes

Leaderboard placement earns bonus View Points at the end of each week.
